"When we came to see this house the kitchen / family room blew us away. It was exactly what we needed as a family. A place to eat, socialise and entertain. It is still the heart of this house and where we spend most of our time. The views change with the seasons and we have never tire of watching them. The highlight is when the farmer is out on his combine, the children get so excited. If we are lucky enough to get snow, it is just beautiful. The colours of the sky when the sun is setting are amazing to see too, especially sitting with a glass of wine catching the last rays of the day in the summer. It is so peaceful too, hearing nothing but the birds.
We love that you can walk for miles and see not a soul. During lockdown that was a blessing. There are plenty of different walks to do including local bluebell woods and also a lovely walk across the fields to Rosey Lea at Wickham Hall, a nice stop for a milkshake before heading back. There is a local 'circular walks of Farnham' book as a handy tool. Our children have also spent hours building dens in the local woodland just a few mins from the front door.
The speed at which we can get into town is also a huge plus. We may live in the countryside with unspoilt views but are still only 7 mins from the station, 4/5 mins from both Grange paddocks and Waitrose.
There is a real community feel in Farnham with yearly and monthly events taking place at the church, the village hall and other surrounding places. We also have a Farnham a Facebook page and a WhatsApp group; we really look out for each other! "
